A Studio Rebuilt

On January 7, 2025, the Palisades fires destroyed Harbor Studios’ recording space in Los Angeles. What remained was a shell of a place that had held years of music, collaboration, and creative history. In the wake of this devastating loss, Harbor Studios’ CEO and founder, Zach Zimmerman, envisioned a publication that would document the destruction, honor the studio’s creative legacy, and capture a vision for what lay ahead. I art directed and designed a limited-edition art book, printed in an edition of 1,000 copies, including the front and back covers and 66 interior pages. Printed on premium, natural papers, the publication serves as a tactile tribute to Harbor Studios’ creative legacy and a meaningful record of what was lost. I oversaw the project from art direction through final print production, ensuring every detail felt intentional and true to the story.
